Client Spotlight - LUHV Food
We feature the Lucci family of LUHV FOOD in this edition of our Century Business Advisors Client Spotlight. Silvia Lucci suffered a minor stroke some years ago, and her husband, a chef, created “healing foods” for her, which Silvia credits for her current good health. LUHV FOOD was born of this food regimen, and began as a vegan café serving delicious, healing food in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. Silvia Lucci owns and manages the business with her husband, Daniel (the chef), and their son, Facundo. The café customers inquired about purchasing the food for daily consumption, and Silvia asked Daniel if it would be possible to start packaging the food. The Lucci family moved forward with the idea because of their passion to make healthy, vegan food more easily available to the public. Today, LUHV FOOD boasts numerous awards and recognitions, convenient online ordering for delivery or pickup, wholesale availability to a wide range of food chains, franchise opportunities, and the same fantastic food at the original location. We celebrate the Lucci family’s success, and invite you to follow them in their trek to “change the world by the way we eat!”
When was LUHV FOOD founded, and what is your business mission?
LUHV FOOD was founded in 2015. It is an award-winning manufacturing company of nutritional vegan foods. We help people enjoy wholesome lives while saving the planet by manufacturing cruelty-free vegan foods that are not only nutritionally healthy, but mouthwatering. We believe we can change the world by the way we eat.
Who are the managing members?
Our team includes: Daniel Lucci-our culinary genius, Facundo Lucci-the creative force, Silvia Lucci-the heart of the company
What is your most popular product?
The black bean-plantain and roasted poblano pepper burger is the most popular. Reubens run a close second among our retailers.
Where can your products be ordered/purchased?
We are making veganism accessible by selling our products wholesale-frozen in chains like Whole Foods Markets, MOM’s Organic, and many local stores such as Tanner Bro, Organnons, Weaver Way, and Grapevine. Our fresh food is sold at our LUHV Bistros in Hatboro and The Reading Terminal in Philadelphia, where we use sustainable practices such as 100% compostable serve ware. Convenient online ordering for delivery or pickup at our bistro locations is also available.
What are your company goals heading into next year?
We plan to purchase a new factory to expand production. This will allow us to expand into more chains and regions, as well as open two new franchises.
Why did you choose to work with the Century Business Advisors team, and what do you feel is their biggest strength?
